Dach Golf Carts Compared: Falcon Ultra vs. Apollo Gen2 vs. Apollo 4+2
Dach makes three current models: the Falcon Ultra, the Apollo Gen2 and the Apollo 4+2. All three are electric, all three use the same 7.7 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery and 6.3 kW AC motor, and Dach rates all three for at least 55.9 miles of range at a constant 19 mph. The biggest differences are seating, size and features. The Falcon Ultra and Apollo Gen2 seat four, and the Apollo 4+2 seats six. This guide walks through each model using the specifications Dach publishes on its own website.
Who makes Dach golf carts?
Dach Vehicles (DCD Vehicle Corp.) builds electric golf carts and low-speed vehicles (LSVs). According to the company, it runs two manufacturing and design R&D centers in Orlando, Florida. Dach’s current lineup on its website is the Falcon Ultra, the Apollo Gen2 and the Apollo 4+2.
What every current Dach model has in common
Dach’s published spec sheets show a lot of shared hardware across the lineup:
- Battery: 72V, 105Ah lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4), 7.7 kWh.
- Motor and controller: 72V 6.3 kW AC motor with a 72V, 350A controller.
- Charging: a 72V, 1.5 kW onboard charger.
- Speed and range: 19 mph maximum factory speed, 0 to 19 mph in about 6 seconds, and a rated range of at least 55.9 miles at a constant 19 mph.
- Climbing: 30% maximum gradeability.
- Brakes: front and rear disc brakes with an electronic parking brake.
- Dash: a 12.3-inch multimedia touchscreen that shows battery status, speed and mileage.
- Convenience: cruise control, keyless push-button start (NFC card or phone), Bluetooth audio, and wireless, USB and USB-C phone charging.
- Lighting and mirrors: LED headlights, turn signals, brake lights, license plate lights, and side mirrors with built-in turn signal lights.
Dach Falcon Ultra
The Falcon Ultra is Dach’s compact four-seater. Dach describes it as upgraded with a new dashboard, cruise control and more comfortable seating. It is the shortest model in the lineup and has the tightest turning circle, which makes it the easiest Dach to maneuver in tight driveways, garages and cart paths.
- Seats: 4
- Length x width x height: 114.17 x 55.12 x 79.92 in
- Wheelbase: 67.32 in
- Minimum turning radius: 11.5 ft
- Curb weight: 1,278 lb
- Maximum load capacity: 758.39 lb
- Ground clearance: 7.2 in
- Tires: 225/50R14 on 14-inch aluminum alloy rims
- Windshield: hinged, fold-down laminated glass
Dach Apollo Gen2
The Apollo Gen2 is also a four-seater, but it is longer than the Falcon Ultra and carries more equipment. Dach calls it “a fully upgraded 4-seater, now with V2D discharge, enhanced driving stability, and expanded capacity.” V2D (vehicle-to-device) discharge means the cart’s battery can power outside devices; Dach lists the discharge power as under 1.2 kW. Its touchscreen also shows a reversing camera and supports CarPlay, according to the spec sheet.
- Seats: 4
- Length x width x height: 121.26 x 55.12 x 79.53 in
- Wheelbase: 85.04 in
- Minimum turning radius: 15.42 ft
- Curb weight: 1,463.87 lb

Dach Apollo 4+2
The Apollo 4+2 is Dach’s six-seater. Dach describes it as “a true 6-seater designed for comfort, featuring a more refined chassis system and cruise control.” It has by far the longest wheelbase and the highest load rating in the lineup, so it is the one to look at if you regularly ride with kids, grandkids or a group.
- Seats: 6
- Length x width x height: 149.6 x 55.7 x 79.5 in
- Wheelbase: 100.79 in
- Minimum turning radius: 15.09 ft
- Curb weight: 1,433 lb
- Maximum load capacity: 1,137.58 lb
- Ground clearance: 7.09 in
- Tires: 225/50R14 on 14-inch aluminum alloy rims
- Audio: soundbar plus two 4-inch seat speakers
How to choose between them
Because the battery, motor, speed and rated range are the same on all three models, the choice mostly comes down to how many people you carry and where you will park and drive.
- Usually two to four riders and limited parking space: the Falcon Ultra is the shortest Dach and turns in the smallest circle (11.5 ft).
- Four riders and you want more features: the Apollo Gen2 adds the reversing camera display, V2D discharge, MacPherson front suspension and a bigger sound system.
- Five or six riders: the Apollo 4+2 is the only six-seat Dach and has the highest load capacity (1,137.58 lb). At almost 150 inches long, measure your garage or parking spot before you shop.
Some Dach carts are also offered with a solar roof. Dach lists solar-powered canopies among its technologies, and the Dach inventory on our site includes Falcon Ultra and Apollo 4+2 units marked “(Solar)”, along with the Apollo and Apollo Gen2.
